BID2WIN 2007 Offers A Variety Of Powerful New Capabilities
BID2WN Software, Inc., last month at its Annual User Conference in Boca Raton, Florida, unveiled the newest version of its flagship product when they previewed BID2WIN 2007. This enterprise-level heavy construction management software application, which will be released this spring, offers construction and civil engineering firms a variety of new features including a new version of the Microsoft .NET framework.
At the conference more than 300 attendees were able to take advantage of BID2WIN’s new Software Solutions Center, which consisted of 30 computer stations where users could get hands-on experience of the functionality and flexibility of the newest version of BID2WIN while also providing feedback to the development team in person. BID2WIN training experts were also on hand to assist users, answer questions and showcase the additional new benefits and features of BID2WIN 2007.
Demonstrations and extensive training tracks were also given to further showcase the product’s new features including the comparison cost method, which allows users to detail out self-performed costs for an item or task and compare that cost to quoted prices from subcontractors. One of the most powerful features in the BID2WIN 2007 Enterprise edition, cost groups, offers users the ability to group like items and tasks and utilize similar cost structures for all of them. Users now also can split RFQ groups among multiple subcontractors or vendors so they can “mix and match” to get the best deal. Another feature is an upgraded tree view in subcontractor and vendor management, which allows users to simultaneously view all items, tasks or materials for a single subcontractor or vendor.
“It’s all about working smart to increase profitability. In the infrastructure industry the bidding and estimating process is critical and speed and accuracy are key to obtaining success,” stated Paul McKeon, President of BID2WIN. “BID2WIN is a comprehensive Windows-based application designed to manage the entire estimating and bidding process and it’s driven by Microsoft SQL Server technology, the fastest, most advanced database available for the Windows environment, allowing us to provide an unmatched level of flexibility, accuracy and ease of use for our users,” he added.
BID2WIN 2007 will be released to all customers with a current support contract in the coming weeks after final testing. Following the release, BID2WIN’s development team has plans to unveil an additional, highly anticipated new system later in the Spring/Summer of 2007.
